University of Wisconsin-Madison

For 168 years, this campus has been a catalyst for the extraordinary. As a public land-grant university and prolific research institution, our students, staff, and faculty members partake in a world-class education and solve real-world problems.

Research

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education provides an administrative home for a number of multidisciplinary research centers and institutes. These centers and offices involve faculty, staff, and students from the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the arts and humanities. Together they generate, on an annual basis, more than $160 million in extramural research awards.
